The class will be divided into two groups and John will show how to use the blocking presses and handled tools. John is available on his rostered Sundays to help with further use of the blocking press. Adrienne will show how to colour and decorate edges, and demonstrate fore edge painting which you will then be able to try out on paperbacks trimmed in the guillotine. At lunchtime the groups will rotate. There will also be demonstrations of simple book cloth onlays and using a soldering iron as a free hand gildng tool.
